Marketing Technology Startup Coupon Wallet

STERLING HEIGHTS - Coupon Wallet is hosting its first Coupon Wallet Hackathon August 14 at the Macomb-Oakland University to inspire growth and awareness for the tech industry in Metro Detroit.

In recent history, the Detroit area has suffered an exodus of tech talent as young people entering the job market seek opportunities and tech jobs in other places like Silicon Valley.Coupon Wallet and the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan agree that a key component to keeping young people in Michigan is to create exciting employment opportunities and innovative startups.

"We love to see Michigan companies taking the initiative in developing relationships and encouraging Michigan developers' use of their API's," says Linda Daichendt, Executive Director/President, Mobile Technology Association of Michigan. "We believe such events can drive creative opportunities and result in more unique startups in the state, and we're happy to support that in any way we can."

Prizes will be awarded including gadgets and gift cards. In addition, the grand prize is an opportunity to bring their idea to the market with the assistance of Coupon Wallet. This is an opportunity for coders to forge themselves a Facebook or Google-like job in the metro Detroit area while gaining valuable business experience.

Coupon Wallet is a startup in the Macomb-Oakland University Incubator. Coupon Wallet is an advanced marketing and analytics platform that is bridging the gap between paper coupons and Mobile Coupons for the emerging digital world.
