Air Jordan Retro 4 'x KAWS' Highlight The Top Sneaker Releases On March 4

This article is more than 7 years old.

The Jordan 4 Retros are one of the most diversely produced nostalgic sneakers under the Jordan umbrella. On Saturday, March 4, we'll see another version of the design.

The Retro 4 x KAWS inspired by world-renowned artist Brian Donnelly aka KAWS will hit retailers.

The colorway is similar to the "Royalty" release with its black and gold look, but it features suede midsoles and an icy translucent glow-in-the-dark outsole. The shoe is accented by Donnelly's art work.

He has previously worked on sneakers with Bape and Nike, so it's no surprise to see him associated with Jordan brand. The release date was just recently confirmed by SoleCollector.com, but the retail price is still a mystery.

Because of the similarities to the Royalty design, I'm not sure if x KAWS will be an essential shoe for any besides hardcore sneaker collectors.

On the more practical side, the Nike PG (Paul George) 1 "Ferocity" releases with an attractive colorway and price tag $110. Last week, the PG1"Shining" hits stores on the same day.

This colorway is more consistent with George's Indiana Pacers colors.

Having already had an opportunity to give the PG1 a test run on the basketball court, I can vouch for its comfort. Whether you're a fan of this colorway is up to you.

Also releasing on Saturday are two colorways for the adidas NMD_CS2 PK x KITH x. The Pink and Sandstone designs are on the way to stores and will carry a $200 price tag. The Sandstone are my favorites. The Primeknit texture screams spring and summer days.

The pink requires some slick coordination, but it can be pulled off with similar grace. Whether retro, artistic, conservative or hybrid designs, the short list of releases this weekend has options for several types of sneakerheads.
