Q&A With Legendary Investor Chris Sacca

This article is more than 7 years old.

Before he was a 'Shark Tank' regular, Chris Sacca placed early bets on Uber, Twitter, Instagram and many more, making himself a billionaire in under 9 years. Our 2015 cover told the story of the 'Super Angel' who took Silicon Valley by storm in a signature cowboy shirt.

Before an over-capacity crowd sat down to hear Sacca speak at SXSW this week, we got a chance to share some audience questions.

Above all, Sacca isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Does he get along with Shark Tank cast? More often than not, he says. "When the camera rolls, it's legitimately competitive. If you see Cuban and I go at it, that's real." Does he have any regrets about passing up an investment? Absolutely. He ate at Austin-based Chi'lantro BBQ right before his panel and didn't hesitate to admit he missed out on a good deal.
