You have a point, but in this game they make a right call when Anderson was floping.

The way refs so blatantly favor guards and forwards, and in an ever increasing capacity, is legitimately making me think this may be a wall that can not be broken unless you can add a superstar caliber back court player or unless some serious, cognizant changes are brought to the league.

the question is,,what guard or wing player is out there that we can get or trade jrue or maybe boogie for that is aggressive and can create their own fouls that can give us that edge in this league?..........for the last several years the title has been won with strong guards or a wing and we have none of those so maybe thats the key piece we need to contend.....

The Cousins and Davis combo can be built into a legit championship contender. Finishers at the wings are needed. I'm okay with Jrue being the PG but we need strong finishers (ala Crawford) to complete the team. Cunningham, Frazier , Hill are just not going to cut it.
Dell Demps PLEASE get us some scorers!

I have to slightly disagree with you. Everything you said was fine, except Holiday being the PG. I honestly think he should be our SG and we bring in a true PG.

Good game. We lost at the very end but the team is growing. Cousins has some serious talent . We should've explioted many mismatches much better but I am sure it will come with time.

Possibly long shot, but I truly believe if the clippers get eliminated early in the playoffs which I'm rooting for, I think CP3 return is really real and I I could even see him taking a pay cut to get a ring and return home. Especially if we finish the season strong. Look at the Utah Jazz last year, and how they came into this year with a ton of momentum and energy. Hopefully that can be us.

Or we can trade a future first to acquire Ricky Rubio or Eric Bledsoe (a huge risk with his health) which will make a sick a defensive backcourt with Jrue,, or possibly aquiring Lin, or a overseas vet.

I think the Suns are trying to give Bledsoe and Knight away for a 2nd.

Bledsoe and Boogie played together at Kentucky. I'd be all for him coming over.

I don't know if Bledsoe is the right fit . A true PG like Chris Paul would be ideal but I don't think we can afford him and I don't know how much interest he would have coming back to Nola . I get the feeling he would want to go to a place that is a true title contender if he were to take a pay cut.

I still don't get the idea of moving Jrue to SG. He would completely disappear then. My question is why Tyreke and Jrue didn't realy play as starting PG and SG for this team? If the management thought what so many of you think, wouldn't have they tried it before, especially having Tyreke on the team? Fortunately we will find out in the offseason who the Pels will get and when the next season starts I am 99% sure Jrue will not be the starting SG (I am not saying he will the PG cause I am not sure he will be on this team next year). Once again, a great shooter at SGwill do wonders for this team. As I said many times, Hill and Cousins are very good passers and AD will get there too I am sure (he is just too good not to). I think we will have enough passing on the team. With Jrue, Hill, AD, DC the defense will be allright too. What we need is SHOOTING!!! Especially if Gentry is staying. Pairing Rubio with Jrue would be really dumb and I really don't get all the love for that idea.

Because Tyreke was an iso ball handler. He can't / doesn't want to play in a system where you're required to swing the ball around to find an open shot. He wants to dribble, drive, read the defense, and either pass or shoot.

That's not a judgment on his game, he won a lot for us during that playoff run. But his fit next to Jrue was not good because of his play style. Nor could we extensively test it anyway because both players spent so much time injured.

Because they were never healthy at the same time mostly.

The fact they were never healthy or Tyreke has a certain style doesn't make Jrue a SG. I would easily bet thousand bucks right now that if Jrue stays here he will be the PG and we are not getting Rubio type player for the starting unit.

What position does Lin play? Because we went after him hard this last off season.

I think this team just needs a good slasher a la Tyreke. Jrue is always very tentative and slow and Moore is just slow. The only one we have now that does it is Cousins (our freaking center), Crawford and every 5th game Hill. That penetration does wonders for this team and it's not like the paint is clogged. Harden does it for the Rockets and it causes all sorts of problems. Makes their average bigs like Capela and Nene very serviceable.

Need to add another shooter but also need a good penetrating PG like Beldsoe.

Lin has mostly been coming off the bench in reason years. Interest in Lin doesn't necessarily mean they want to move on from Jrue as the starting PG.

mythrol point was playing jrue and lin in the back court together.....

I would rather spend money on getting finishers on the wings then try to find a true PG. Jrue is good player and he is a good pg. He just goes through these strange funks.

Ummm, yeah I caught that. My point was that interest in Lin could've been as a back up PG, since he has mostly been coming off the bench in recent years.

I'm strongly opposed to investing a big contract in Jrue and then changing his primary position.

    Ok. Let's try this again.

What position is Jrue playing right now on our team with our current starting lineup?

I do agree that we need a slasher too and that's why the results is usually good when Hill successfully attacks the rim.
So we need slasher and shooter more than a ball handler and passer
