Trying to get a handle on changes in technology is a never-ending task: There's always something new on the horizon, and there is always someone clever looking at how a recent tool or technique interacts with an older process.

Podcasts are an excellent source for analyses on what's going on in the technology world, how a new technology will impact businesses or individuals, and what's likely to make it to market in the next few years. However, there are a lot of technology-related podcasts out there. To help winnow down the list, 6 members from the Forbes Technology Council offer their listening preferences, along with why you should start listening too.

1. TrackChanges

Track Changes is a great, and relatively short, technology and culture podcast. In addition to the great insights on running a digital enterprise nowadays, the co-founders and hosts Paul Ford and Rich Ziade have terrific conversations with guests, such as Facebook’s director of product design Jon Lax, former design director for The New York Times Khoi Vin, and tech and business writer Nicholas Carr. - Ivailo NikolovSiteGround

2. The Accidental Tech Podcast

The Accidental Tech Podcast, also known as ATP, is a show led by three developers who cover tech in an in-depth way and are very entertaining. They always get me even more excited about technology and what's going on in the tech world. - Chalmers BrownDue

3. FutureCommerce

The FutureCommerce podcast provides amazing breakdowns and insight on the technologies that are coming and changing the commerce landscape. They have already covered topics like conversation commerce, virtual reality for commerce, and the implications of AI and bots on the online shopping experience. While the podcasts are commerce focused, the breakthroughs they talk about are not limited to the commerce space. - Allan MacGregorDemac Media Inc
4. The Tim Ferriss Show

I would definitely highly recommend “The Tim Ferriss Show.” It’s not just a tech podcast, and the ideas range from productivity to fitness to entrepreneurship. It’s definitely one of the best podcasts out there right now. If you want to be updated about the tech and startup scene specifically, then tune in to Tito Hamze and his “Crunch Report.” - Lubo SmidSTRV

Forbes Technology Council is an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs and technology executives. Do I qualify?

5. Ira Flatow

More science than technology, Ira Flatow is always topical, and many times relevant to the rapid changes in the technology realm. - Pin ChenONTRAPORT

6. Trifecta

I have a few favorite tech podcasts, including Lifehacker, “Spark with Nora Young,” and Tekzilla. Lifehacker provides good information about progressions in the tech world, “Spark with Nora Young” shows how life will be affected by tech, and Tekzilla is entertaining and well-presented. Combined, these three podcasts give an entertaining, informational overview of developing technologies and their impact. - Alan O'HerlihyEverseen
