A number of hires, and promotions, at F+W over the long weekend. Nancy Soriano has been named publisher and community leader for the company's crafts business. Soriano was editor-in-chief at Country Living magazine. Phil Sexton has been promoted from v-p of sales to publisher and community leader for the F+W writing community. And Jon Ackerman has taken on the role of sales director for Adams Media, which is a division of F+W.

At Random House Publishing Group, Lisa Turner has been promoted to digital project manager for RHPG Digital. Turner, who joined RHPG in 2005, was associate managing editor for Ballantine Books and all of its imprints. In her new role, Turner will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and organization of digital projects, including RHPG’s enhanced eBooks, original e-content creation, and the company's upcoming mobile marketing platform.
