LaVar Ball’s AAU team suffered a lopsided loss on Saturday, and his attempt at a motivational halftime speech didn’t appear to make a difference. USA TODAY’s Josh Peter captured video of Ball addressing his team, The Big Ballers, which features his 15-year-old son, LaMelo.
“Play some defense! Quit worrying about getting dunked on,” he urged while wearing his infamous “Stay in yo lane” shirt.
Ball’s team would go on to lose the game by 52 points.
“I’ve got to tell you when to pass, I’ve got to tell you when to pass,” Ball said. “… I’m acting like a [expletive] puppet, y’all don’t know how to play?”
