Mel B’s estranged husband Stephen Belafonte broke his social media silence on Friday and called the singer a “liar.”
In three explosive posts, Stephen 42, warned that he would be revealing his side of the story after Mel, 41, made a series of allegations of violence against him.
The first post was an image of his five-year-old daughter Madison who he is only allowed supervised visits with.
She is hugging a TV with his face on in what appears to be a video call.
He captioned it: “Sometimes you stay quiet for obvious reasons!! #thequietbeforethestorm”
Then calling his wife a “dangerous liar”, Stephen posted a quote, that read: “The most dangerous liars are the those who think they are telling the truth.”
The accompanying caption simply read: “#facts #thequietbeforethestorm”
And in a final scathing post, he drummed home that he believes Mel to be a “liar.”
It read: “I’d rather be an honest a**hole than a well liked LIAR.”
Again he added a series of hashtags saying: “#facts #thequietbeforethestorm #truth #wow #mustbetwotruths”
These posts came hours after TMZ reported that that he had filed legal documents claiming to be homeless after being thrown out he family home and broke after the split cost him $5000k in work.
In the divorce papers he claims: “We lived a very comfortable, upper-class lifestyle. Money was never an obstacle.”
The site also says that he is struggling to pay off a $60K credit card bill.
Their comfortable lifestyle was funded by Mel who Stephen claims makes up to $250k a month, thanks to a $ 1.587M from her America’s Got Talent contract and $300k a year from her contract with nutrition company Jenny Craig.
Mel filed for divorce in March and claimed that she was the victim of “multiple physical beatings.”
She also alleged that he set out to “destroy” her career by threatening to release sex tapes.
The plot thickened when Mel secured a restraining order against their former nanny Lorraine Gilles, who she claimed has an affair and got pregnant by Stephen, while Lorraine alleges that she had regular sexual encounters with Mel.
