Wilks scores on his return to the U23s, but does that mean he’s going back out on loan?

Mallik Wilks was back with the Academy squad, scoring a goal in the U23s loss at Crewe yesterday. He’s back at the club after spending the first half of the season on loan at Accrington Stanley. He’s reportedly garnered interest from other lower league clubs looking to take him on loan for the second half of the season. It would be best for him to go out on loan again, as he’s probably not going to be getting into the first team anytime soon. It’s good to see him score, and hopefully he’ll get a run in the first team of a League Two or League One team gunning for promotion and get some good experience.
