Mauricio Pochettino refuses to guarantee Danny Rose will stay at Tottenham beyond this season

Mauricio Pochettino remained coy about the future of left-back Danny Rose, amid continued links with Manchester United.

The England international was left 'fuming' after being left out of the north London derby at the weekend despite being fully fit.

United have been strongly linked with Rose, who caused a stir after questioning Tottenham's transfer policy, which he said often included signing players that you had to 'Google'.

The defender is fit again after missing much of 2017 with a knee injury but had been included in the squad for the five games before the axe fell on north London derby day.

Pochettino, though, was keeping his cards close to his chest when he was asked whether or not Rose will be a Spurs player beyond this season.

"I think it's not the moment to talk about that," the manager said.

"All the players have contracts with us and are involved in the project.

"You don't know what will happen in the future.

"Most important now is that everything have to feel involved and part of the project, we cannot guess about the future."
