Working from home: Why Wealthy Affiliate is a better option
Today I am 'working from home'. But it isn't all it's cracked up to be!
Many of you know that my everyday job is a school teacher and as we approach the end of term, this weekend I have to mark and grade all the books in the picture below. Now this is no mean feat I can tell you. These are books from my secondary school classes which need to be marked because we have to enter the data on the student's latest assessments, before the end of term so that reports can go out on time.
(This also explains why I haven't written a post for the last few days, sorry)
Now I teach drama (which I really like I might add), but I can honestly say, that the 'working from home' option offered here is definitely not my idea of a fun Sunday! And life is supposed to be fun, right?!
So as I work through them one by one, I ask myself the same question:
"What on earth am I doing?"
and assert the same answer:
"There has to be something better than this!"
Luckily for me, I have found an alternative 'working from home' option which I am pursuing with as much energy and commitment as Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer on December 24th!
This is the Wealthy Affiliate alternative and I thought I would just put down a few reasons as to why I am so much more excited about working from home with Wealthy Affiliate, than I am doing my marking.
Wealthy Affiliate will:
- offer me a chance to earn enough money to eventually quit my day job and spend Sundays with my wonderful family
- train me in affiliate marketing, which is a legitimate home-based business which is helping many people fulfill their dreams
- allow me to work in my own time, to my own deadlines
- enable me to interact with like-minded entrepreneurs 24/7, 365 days a year if I wanted to, for help and advice
- give me transferable web master skills which I could use elsewhere in the job market if I chose to
- allow me to start my business for free or for a modest low monthly fee
- facilitate the hosting and creation of at least 2 websites (but can be up to 50)
- put me back in charge of my own destiny!
What more could I ask of an online business opportunity?
in the meantime, back to the marking.........red pen anyone?

Hang in there Gail. Sounds like you've got your hands full, but you know what, in the end it will all be worthwhile and you will be able to enjoy the work you have built. Not to mention the students that you will have an impact on. They are in good hands. Hang in there Gail.

As a teacher, I know that the job is very rewarding and fulfilling in itself. I used to be a preschool teacher and I taught basic literacy and social norms to two and three year olds. Although there weren't any work books,, or assignments to grade, I had to potty train my kids!!! Could you imagine being alone with 10 2 & 3 year olds who were all learning how to use their bowels.. and you got to make sure that you remind them to use the bathroom or else.... SUCH STRESS!! It's so rewarding though... anyway, much power and respect you for being a teacher because it's a very hard job and you don't get paid enough. Sooner or later your business will hit and you won't have to teach to make a living but you can teach overseas if you'd like, and at your own leisur.e
