‘Marcus Rashford’s struggle at Manchester United is Jose Mourinho’s fault’: Red Devils boss blasted on Twitter after forward thrives for England
The 21-year-old put in an electrifying performance during the dramatic Nations League victory over Croatia
Marcus Rashford looked an entirely different player to the one at Manchester United during England's thrilling comeback victory over Croatia.
Harry Kane's late winner sealed a place in the Nations League finals and condemned the Croats to League A relegation after Jesse Lingard had cancelled out Andrej Kramaric's goal.
And while there were impressive performances all over the pitch, Rashford's early second half burst caught the eye.
For a prolonged spell, he was unstoppable, striking fear into the Croatian defence with his pace and beating men with ease.
While his end product wasn't always there, he created a fantastic opportunity for Raheem Sterling with a searing run and clever through ball.
This was in stark contrast to his performances in a United shirt this season.
Rashford, who has only scored twice for the Red Devils this term, appeared to enjoy the freedom granted to him under Gareth Southgate at Wembley.
And it led some fans to suggest Jose Mourinho isn't handling him properly at Old Trafford.
