Philippe Coutinho’s Barcelona future remains up in the air and his representatives are making moves to end his ill-fated spell at the Camp Nou.

The Brazilian has struggled to find his best form in Spain, scoring just four goals in 26 league appearances this season.

His performances have been a far cry from his days at Liverpool – form that earned him a move to the Catalan giants.

And his agents have made contact with Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea over a possible summer move, according to AS.

Coutinho’s representatives, Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci, are keen to force a move away from Barcelona and reached out to Manchester United but are yet to receive a response from Red Devils chiefs.

It’s thought that United’s top summer target is Jadon Sancho – who is expected to cost between £80million and £100m and there are perhaps question marks over whether they would be able to acquire both players in one transfer window unless there were high-profile departures at Old Trafford.

Premier League rivals Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the attacking midfielder but their future in the summer market remains unclear as they are currently facing a transfer ban.

Barcelona are thought to be willing to offload Coutinho at a cut-price £68.8m, however, Goal reports he is ‘put off’ by the prospect of a return to English football after not settling in the UK during his four-year stint with Liverpool.
